Managing Director

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking candidates for the position of Managing Director of the Master of Product Development (MPD) program. The MPD program was established in 2003 and is a leading, highly ranked international program in new product development practice and management. The program is jointly run between the College of Engineering through the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the College of Fine Arts through the School of Design, and the Tepper School of Business.

The Managing Director will lead the Master of Product Development (MPD) program.  Duties include day-to-day responsibilities: student advising, admissions, career planning and placement, event coordination, PR, sponsorship coordination and teaching.  At the strategy level duties include: planning and implementation of growth and corporate networking.

Candidates should have significant experience in the practice of product design and development, and leadership experience.    At least a master’s level degree or Ph.D. in an appropriate field is preferred. The salary range is negotiable and commensurate with experience and education.
