Mechanical Engineering Seminar Speaker Series
During the academic year, the Mechanical Engineering Department conducts a Seminar Series which is free and open to the public. Guest lecturers are invited to speak to graduate students and faculty; these speakers are chosen from a variety of disciplines within Mechanical Engineering to generate wide appeal within the department. Refreshments are generally served before each seminar to give students and guests an opportunity to meet the guest speaker.
One of the purposes of the seminar series is to broaden our students intellectually and to aid in their professional development by providing another connection with the world of industry and business. To this end, participation in the departmental seminars is mandatory for all full-time graduate students.
