Professor Phil LeDuc Elected a Fellow of ASME

Congratulations to Professor Philip LeDuc on his recent election as a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).  This distinction is extended to less than 3% of all ASME members - a total of 140,172.

"I am very honored to have been selected as a Fellow for ASME. The members of ASME are an amazing group of people spanning academia to industry," said LeDuc.

LeDuc is the Founding Director of the Center for the Mechanics of Engineering Cellular Systems at Carnegie Mellon, which includes over 20 faculty members from engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science, and has the goal of using mechanical engineering with cellular systems to address biological problems ranging from disease to bioenergy to malnutrition in third-world countries.
