Carnegie Mellon Racing Team Takes 1st Place for Design at the Formula Hybrid Competition

The Carnegie Mellon Racing Team competed in its first electric car competition in early May at the New Hampshire Speedway, winning 3rd place overall in the electric category, and 1st place in design.

In addition, the Team received IEEE's Engineering the Future Award for meeting the requirements of a "highly integrated team representing multiple IEEE technologies of interest, a vehicle that piques interest as a proper race car, and design and fabrication both ingenious and interesting"

CMR will compete again June 18-21 in Lincoln, Nebraska at Formula SAE West.
