CAPS Mobile Air Quality Lab At First Clean Air Dash
Runners can learn about MechE's contribution to clean air at the first Clean Air Dash 5K on October 19 in the South Side.
Assistant Professor Albert Presto will be showcasing the work of the Center for Atmospheric Particle Studies (CAPS) with the "Community Health: Air Pollution in Pittsburgh" mobile laboratory. Thanks to a grant from the Heinz Endowments, the laboratory maps and monitors air quality throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. With this data, Presto and the other researchers in CAPS hope to make improvements in the region's air quality.
