Ozdoganlar Named ICES Associate Director

Professor Burak Ozdoganlar has assumed the role of Associate Director of the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES).  This change comes as ICES Director Gary Fedder takes on the additional role of Associate Dean for Research in the College of Engineering.

Professsor Ozdoganlar will help manage day-to-day operations of ICES, engage with CMU faculty and executive staff to help identify and develop new multi-disciplinary proposal opportunities within the scope of ICES; network with industry, government and academia to link CIT faculty members with external people in areas of mutual interest; guide the promotion of ICES research through various media; co-direct the state-funded Pennsylvania Infrastructure Technology Alliance (PITA) and Research for Advanced Manufacturing in Pennsylvania (RAMP) programs; and manage the annual Dowd and Northrop-Grumman graduate fellowship selection.
