Majidi's Squishy Robots

Assistant Professor Carmel Majidi's recent paper in the journal Soft Robotics was featured in the Scientific American blog- Will the Robot Uprising be Squishy?   Professor Majidi envisions a world where next-generation robots are “elastically soft and capable of safely interacting with humans or navigating through tightly constrained environments," like octopi.

By reimagining the materials and mechanisms we use to make robots, we could revolutionize their role in healthcare and cooperative human assistance.  Find out more about his research in the Soft Machines lab.
