Two MechE Students Receive Andrew Carnegie Society Scholar Award
MechE seniors Alexander Munoz and Emerson Silva have been named Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars for 2013-2014.
Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars are selected each year by their deans and department heads to represent their class in service and leadership. These undergraduate seniors embody Carnegie Mellon's high standards of academic excellence, volunteerism, leadership, involvement in student organizations, athletics or the arts.
The Scholars were honored at the ACS Pinning Ceremony and Luncheon on Saturday, September 21. They received a monetary award made possible by the Andrew Carnegie Society and will work together as a committee to present a gift back to the university community.
The department is very proud of their accomplishments!
