Sunday Receives Honorable Mention for Judith Resnik Award

Mechanical Engineering student Cecily Sunday received an Honorable Mention for the Judith Resnik Award this year.  The award honors an exceptional, senior woman graduating with a major in a technical field of study.  The awardee must be planning to attend graduate school in engineering, science or medicine. Cecily plans to intern at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab this summer and begin a two year master's program in Aerospace Mechanics and Avionics at Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in France in Fall 2012.

The highly competitive award recognizes outstanding contributions to space engineering in honor of Judith Resnik, a Carnegie Mellon graduate who was a biomedical engineer and NASA astronaut.
