Cagan & Team Win Best Paper Award at International Design Computation and Cognition Conference

Mechanical Engineering professor Jonathan Cagan,  Psychology professor Kenneth Kotovsky, Mechanical Engineering grad students Steven Chen and Katherine Fu, and Psychology grad student Matthew Wood won the Best Paper Award in the area of Design Cognition at the 2012 International Design Computation and Cognition Conference for their paper entitled "The Role of Design Team Interaction Structure on Individual and Shared Mental Models."

The biennial conference series provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art and cutting-edge design research with a focus on artificial intelligence, cognitive science and computational theories in design.
