Internships in 3-D Printing Coming Soon for CMU Grad Students

MechE professors Fred Higgs and Burak Ozdoganlar and ICES director Gary Fedder joined Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett on Tuesday for the announcement of a new state internship grant for graduate students from CMU and Lehigh University.

The internships will take place at three Pennsylvania companies  - including Acutronics and ExOne  in Pittsburgh - and will focus on 3-D printing.  3-D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is expected to be the next big manufacturing breakthrough.
