Master's Poster Session & Paper
Students enrolled in the Master of Science Project Option degree program are required to participate in the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Technical/Bennett Conference.
The Conference will be held as a half-day event each year; typically in mid-April.
The Masters Poster Session Competition is open to any master’s level graduate student in Mechanical Engineering; however, participation is required for MS-Project degree candidates during one of their two years with the department. Participation is contingent upon advisor approval. An award will be given for the best poster(s) as determined by a panel of four to six judges consisting of faculty, and potentially industry members, from a variety of disciplines.
A paper is also required of all students in the Master of Science Project Option degree program. The paper, which will satisfy the final report requirement for the MS-Project degree, must bear the advisor's signature. The paper will be due 1 week prior to the poster session. Students with a December graduation must submit their papers by November 30 of that year. The paper format is that typical of an ASME technical conference in both length and format.
