We are grateful for all of the contributions provided by our alumni. Alumni give of themselves in various capacities that have tremendous impact on the Department's continued success. If you are ready to get involved, here are several ways that you can give back to the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Attend career fairs and corporate presentations – This is such a great way to assist current CIT students; students are eager to get the inside scoop from alumni. After all, only you can articulate how your education impacted you – personally and professionally; then and now. Come back to campus and share your expertise because students really want to know.
- Corporate champion – Alumni have the opportunity to help build relationships between their Alma Mater and their employing organization. Encourage your company to recruit from Mechanical Engineering: for full-time opportunities, internships and for co-ops. Additionally, there may be other mutually beneficial ways for us to work together such as corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
- Giving – Your gift has the greatest impact on Mechanical Engineering when you earmark it directly for the Department. You can give online, by phone (412-268-2021), or by regular mail (Department of Mechanical Engineering, 401 Scaife Hall, Carnegie Mellon University, 5000 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213). Please don't forget about matching gifts – your employer may match your contribution to make your gift go even farther.
- Volunteer activities – Mechanical Engineering alumni can volunteer at any College and University alumni function. If you're considering volunteering check out the Alumni Association, to learn of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
