 Research in MCS Through participation in a wide range of scientific research, Mellon College of Science has brought national and international recognition to Carnegie Mellon. Many of our faculty researchers are leaders in their fields, and several new programs and centers have been created because of an aggressive pursuit of funding for key research projects. Students are also encouraged to participate in research during their education and a variety of programs are offered to support undergraduate research efforts.
