Carnegie Mellon

Visiting

The Mellon College of Science works closely with the University Admissions Office.

In the fall and spring semesters, we participate in the Sleeping Bag Weekend Programs. We give a College presentation on Sundays, and Departmental and Health Profession information sessions on Mondays. In addition, students and parents are welcome to attend lectures of our introductory science courses.

Are you a high school junior? Then consider attending the Pre-College Program or the Summer Academy for Minority Scholars Engineering, Science, and Computer Science Program.
During the month of April, we give daily informational sessions and tours of our science facilities to admitted students and their families.

If you will be requesting a visit and an interview with a member of the Admissions Office and would like to speak with a faculty member in the science college, the admissions office will help you coordinate this activity.

As you get to know more about the college and have more detailed questions, you may want to write to the contacts for the department(s) that seem especially interesting to you.
