Many graduate students get around Pittsburgh very well without a car. It’s affordable to live near campus with easy bus transportation around the universities and downtown, and many bike-friendly neighborhoods.
Interactive schedule for Pittsburgh busses and the “T”. Carnegie Mellon graduate students are able to ride free in a large area encompassing the universities and downtown. The 28X is convenient and affordable to the airport.
Free shuttle available for a number of stops in Oakland, Shadyside, and Squirrel Hill.
