Career Center Home Page
All graduate students are welcome to use the Career Center located at 19 Warner Hall.
The Career Center contains over 400 books and periodicals relevant to developing a resume/curriculum vitae and cover letter, researching career paths and searching for jobs. The Career Center also coordinates presentations and job fairs and on-campus recruiting.

MCS Career Consultant
Our MCS Career Consultant is Renee Starek (rstarek@andrew.cmu.edu). You may meet with her to discuss everything from evaluating your career goals to preparing for an interview. She is there to help! Make an appointment by calling the Career Center at 268-2064.
TartanTRAK
By accessing TartanTRAK through the Career Center Home Page students are able to:
- Participate in on-campus recruiting, resume drops and mock interviews
- Network with alumni through the Career Contact Network
- Search nationally for internships and job openings
In order to use TartanTRAK, you must first complete a quick 20-minute orientation session. These sessions are offered regularly at the Career Center, or you may make an appointment with Renee Starek.

The MCS Graduate Career Connection is a newsletter distributed once a semester for MCS graduate students. It contains all the informtion you need to get connected to the career resources at CMU. Look for it in your mailbox, or contact Renee Starek at the Career Center for a copy.

At this site, you can post your resume or search through available positions in colleges and primary and secondary educational institutions for faculty, staff, and administrative professionals. There is a search engine on the site that allows you to look for jobs by state or by position title.
