The Merck Computational Biology and Chemistry Program |
Graduate Program |
During 1999-2004, graduate student applicants wishing to participate in the Merck Computational Biology and Chemistry graduate program at Carnegie Mellon were required to apply to and be accepted into one of the graduate programs of the participating departments. Effective January 2005, students interested in training in Computational Biology will be able to apply to a new Ph.D. program in Computational Biology that will be run jointly by Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh. This program will award a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and will draw on the strengths of the two universities both in the biomedical and computational sciences. The application deadline is February 1, 2005 and the first students will begin in Fall 2005.
