Carnegie Mellon University

Academic Leadership

Carnegie Mellon is fortunate to have exceptional academic leadership at the helm of its schools, colleges, and international programs. Through the Office of the Provost, university deans, vice provosts and senior staff oversee the delivery of the transformative educational experience Carnegie Mellon is renowned for the world over.  In addition, the university operates one of the nation's Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, the Software Engineering Institute, which activities focus on addressing critical software and cybersecurity needs of the U.S. Department of Defense.
