Carnegie Mellon University seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Chinese Studies Teaching Track position in the university’s Department of Modern Languages in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position is a regular faculty appointment with provision for unlimited renewal and promotion based upon pedagogical excellence, leadership in curriculum development, and contributions to the profession.

Requirements: Ph.D. in Chinese Studies or Applied Linguistics required. Preference will be given to candidates who have native speaker-level proficiency in Chinese; expertise in culture-driven, content-based, communicatively-oriented instruction; and a record of outstanding teaching.
