Start Up

Startup began on September 4th, 2007 with the engine-generator in a stand alone mode to verify that the engine starts properly and that fuel and coolant flow properly.

By September 7th, 2007 the engine-generator had properly paralleled to the grid and was able to export power. A coordinate power study was required to finalize the installation of the transfer switch, which has delayed the startup of the heat recovery by one week.

Startup of the heat recovery equipment began October 24, 2007 and continued until October 25, 2007.
