Commissioning Process

The first step in the commissioning process will be to verify that all pipes, valves, and sensors are located in the proper locations and to create as built drawings as there were some changes made from the design drawings.

Upon completion of the verification process the steam generator and engine-generator will both have extensive startup procedures.

Baseline Testing
Each piece of equipment will be initially tested at the baseline conditions as specified by the manufacturer.

The engine-generator will be tested by specifying a power output level using diesel fuel. Upon reaching steady state the following points will be compared to the engine specification sheet.

  • Coolant Temperature
  • Exhaust Temperature
  • Combustion Air flow
  • Fuel Flow
