Regulatory Compliance
Carnegie Mellon University is impacted by a number of federal regulations related to the handling and protection of various types of information. These regulations include but are not limited to:
State regulations, such as the PA Breach of Personal Information Notification Act, are also playing an increasingly important role in information handling and protection. ISO conducts formal security audits where necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and is also available to advise on specific regulatory requirements.
