Instructions
for Setting Up the Adobe Acrobat Reader
In
order to view Acrobat files, users must have Adobe Acrobat
reader software installed on their machines. This reader
software is FREE. It occupies between 2 and 5 Megabytes
of Hard Disk space, depending on the operating system
of the machine. You can download a copy of the reader
software directly from Adobe. Please use the above links
to download the software. The software will install automatically.

Hints for Reading the Factbook

To
open Facts 1997 within the browser, set up Adobe Reader
as a "plug-in" within the browser's preferences.

To
download Facts 1997 in its entirety and open within
Adobe Reader as a separate application, set up the reader
as a distinct application in the browser's preferences.

To
make the clickable Facts 1997 directory visible, press
the directory button on the reader's toolbar.

To alter the visible page size, press the magnification
button toward the bottom of the reader until the image
is appropriately sized.
