End of Year (EOY) Undergraduate Survey

Study Population

  • Undergraduate students

Administration Plan

  • The EOY is administered online in the spring once each three years in alternation with the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The next EOY administration will take place in the spring of 2009.

Brief Description

  • Students are asked to assess the changes in their academic and personal skills and abilities since over the course of the academic year. They are also asked for their perceptions of campus life and culture and their level of satisfaction about academic programs and university services.

Survey Results

  • The Office of Institutional Research & Analysis creates detailed descriptive and inferential analyses including group difference analyses to determine how perceptions and behaviors differ by CMU college, gender, citizenship status, and ethnicity and race.

Distribution Plan

  • The survey instrument and the analysis report are available to the Carnegie Mellon community through an authenticated link at Research on Current Students.
