End of Year (EOY) Graduate Student Survey

Study Population

  • All graduate students, with separate survey instruments for masters-level and doctoral-level students.

Administration Plan

  • The EOY is administered online in the Spring every other year. The next EOY administration will take place in the Spring of 2009.

Brief Description

  •   Students are asked about the research and teaching opportunities within their academic program, their perceptions of campus life and culture, and their level of satisfaction about academic opportunities and university services.

Survey Results

  • The Office of Institutional Research & Analysis creates detailed descriptive and inferential analyses including group difference analyses to determine how perceptions and behaviors differ by CMU college, gender, citizenship status, and ethnicity and race. 

Distribution Plan

  •  The survey instrument and the analysis report will be available to the Carnegie Mellon community through an authenticated link at Research on Current Students.
