Relationship to Other Instruments

  • Administration of the NSSE will allow for comparisons between students’ and faculty perceptions of classroom activities. Our administration of the BCSSE will allow for comparisons between high school and college engagement in academic activities.

Survey Results
  • The FSSE administration distributes a full report for Carnegie Mellon’s responses as well as the national results. In addition to the overall results, we will have the option to select up to five additional grouping variables.

Distribution Plan
  • The survey instrument and the aggregate Carnegie Mellon report will be available to the entire Carnegie Mellon Community through an authenticated link on the IR&A website.
