Franco Sciannameo, director of the BXA Intercollege Degree programs, Stephanie Murray, associate director and academic advisor for the BXA programs, and Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA) alumnus Matt Siffert recently gave a presentation at the AAC&C conference "Arts & Humanities: Toward a Flourishing State?" in Providence, R.I. The presentation, titled "Creating Across the Curriculum: An Intercollege Degree Program," was dedicated to the BHA program, which was regarded by conference participants as the only program of its kind in the nation. Sciannameo will offer a master class at UCLA's Department of Composition for Visual Media, Nov. 16-19, when he will discuss film scores by Nino Rota and Ennio Morricone. During his time at UCLA, he'll be interviewed on KUSC-FM Radio on his book "Nino Rota's The Godfather Trilogy." He'll also lecture on "Joseph Mazzini's Philosophy of Music: Envisioning a Social Opera" at "The Renaissance of Passions," an international conference promoted by the UCLA Center for Medieval & Renaissance Studies.
