The one-year professional degree in integrated innovation is offered by the Integrated Innovation Institute at Carnegie Mellon. The Integrated Innovation Institute is a unique academic, research, and executive education entity that is jointly supported by the Carnegie Institute of Technology (the College of Engineering), the College of Fine Arts' School of Design, and the Tepper School of Business. The Master of Integrated Innovation degree focuses on the creation of products, services and interactive experiences that define new product opportunities that exceed user value expectations. Formerly called the Master of Product Development, the name of the degree has changed with the launch of the Integrated Innovation Institute, to reflect the unique positioning of the institute. The program excels at providing engineers, designers, business students and those in related fields, the skills and knowledge to become elite innovators. Students graduate to become accomplished practitioners and leaders of the product development process.
