Students-The HUB - ID Card Services - Carnegie Mellon University

Students who have not yet exchanged their ID Card for the new SMART Card should visit The HUB (lower level of Warner Hall) as soon as possible to ensure they are carrying the official identification card of Carnegie Mellon University. A current, active ID Card needs to be exchanged in order to receive a SMART Card.

Students who do not have their current, active ID Card to turn in, must have a replacement SMART Card printed at The HUB. The cost for a replacement card is $25.

Important: Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, Port Authority Transit (PAT) will switch to a live ID Card system. If an individual's ID Card is not current and/or is not eligible for the PAT benefit, it will no longer be accepted when tapped on the farebox or shown to the operator. Those presenting outdated or non-PAT benefit eligible ID Cards will need to pay a fare or be asked to exit the PAT bus, incline or T. If you believe you have a current ID Card that also includes the PAT benefit, and your card is not accepted when tapped on the farebox, please contact ID Card Services in The HUB as soon as possible.
