Students who have not yet exchanged their ID Card for the new SMART Card should visit The HUB (lower level of Warner Hall) as soon as possible to ensure they are carrying the official identification card of Carnegie Mellon University. A current, active ID Card needs to be exchanged in order to receive a SMART Card.
Students who do not have their current, active ID Card to turn in, must have a replacement SMART Card printed at The HUB. The cost for a replacement card is $25.
Important: Students who received the new SMART Card should note that beginning January 13, 2014, riders can begin “tapping” the card on the fare box reader to gain access to Port Authority Transit methods.
