How to Purchase a Membership

You can now purchase your Student Advantage® membership online.  To purchase a membership for yourself or for someone else, go to our online purchase form and follow the instructions from there. If a membership is purchased for a current student with an ID Card, the card must be replaced after the Student Advantage® purchase is complete in order to update membership information on the ID Card.  The student must visit ID Card Services in The HUB in order to exchange their old ID Card for an updated card with their Student Advantage® membership information.

You may also purchase a membership the next time you visit ID Card Services in The HUB.  If you purchase directly from ID Card Services, memberships are available immediately.

If you are transferred to a generic site that isn't specifically for Carnegie Mellon students, you may still register your card.  The security code for all Carnegie Mellon Cards is 717.
