Transportation vehicles

• The identity system also applies to the purchase of any new vehicles to be acquired by administrative units. Some units have elected to repaint or replace their decals on their official vehicles.

• All new vehicles purchased by the university must be in the official color and must have official decals. Even if leasing a vehicle, the official decals still must be used.

• On "standard" vehicles (vans, sedans, pick-up trucks), use manufacturer's cardinal as the base color.

• For oversize or specialty vehicles (large vans, school buses, ground-loading carts), white can be used as the base color.

• The Communications Design Group will generate proper decals for your vehicles, using the administrative unit mark configuration.

• Police and Security cars have a special decal to allow them to stand out from other university vehicles and to distinguish them first as police vehicles with all the authority that confers.

• The licensing and commodity operations are involved to ensure proper processes are in place for purchases of new vehicles (by administrative units).
