Q. Will the Carnegie Mellon Bookstore sell items designed with the new identity?

A. An extensive line of garments, products and merchandise featuring the official Carnegie Mellon wordmark and colors is available through the Bookstore in the University Center.

If you are looking for a memento or gift item to represent the university to a constituent, you should select an item using the official wordmark and colors. If you wish to consider customized gift, premium or souvenirs for a promotional activity, please contact the Communications Design Group. They work with a variety of specialty product vendors to help you create artwork and select products that will meet your communications objectives incorporate the university identity system to ensure that Carnegie Mellon's name and mark are used correctly.

Q. Can the Carnegie Mellon logo be customized to include the name of our administrative or academic department?

A. Yes, absolutely. If you are in an administrative department, Communications Design can provide you with the correct, official unit mark for your department, as regulated by the identity system.

If you are in an academic or research department—or wish to create a promotional "look" for a new program or event, we can help you create an identifier, or logo, that will meet your communications objectives while reinforcing Carnegie Mellon's official institutional identity goals.
