Unit marks Logos for administrative departments When appropriate or necessary, the wordmark can be used with a unit or program name to create a unit-specific mark. Administrative units are required to use only this official unit mark format as a logo or identifier for their departments or programs. Unit marks consist of a precise configuration of the Carnegie Mellon wordmark with the name of the department or program set in all caps, Helvetica bold. Whether in black-and-white or color(s), the unit name should be screened back to allow the greatest contrast given to the Carnegie Mellon wordmark. The Carnegie Mellon wordmark will overlap the unit name as shown. Do not try to create or recreate your unit mark. The Communications Design Group will configure your unit mark to meet all required specifications and will provide you with art slicks and/or electronic art files. Use the art slick or the .eps or .pic file. Do not manipulate the relative size or elements of this mark. It should be treated as art. THE UNIT-SPECIFIC MARKS SHOULD BE USED ON
