Facilities

IDEATE@Hunt Collaborative Making Facility

IDEATE@Hunt is a new collaborative making facility that will open in Hunt Library in the Fall 2014 semester. This facility will serve as the main meeting space for most IDEATE courses. Upon completion, most of the facility will be open 24/7 and will include large collaborative design studios on the first floor with digital and traditional fabrication labs, a physical computing lab, and an experimental media lab located in the basement.

Centrally located on campus, the Hunt Library has been a collaborative hub since its construction in 1961. With IDEATE@Hunt, the library will take an evolutionary leap toward becoming a 21st century mediated learning commons.

Penn Avenue Expansion

IDEATE is spearheading the planning and development of a cross-campus facility adjacent to Bakery Square. The Penn Avenue facility will feature a 50,000 square foot reconfigurable flex space, multiple shop spaces, and video, audio, and motion capture facilities.
