Enrollment Verifications-The HUB - Carnegie Mellon University

Enrollment Verifications

An enrollment verification officially provides proof of enrollment at the university. Enrollment information can only be verified from the student record and what is reflected on the student record.

The most common reasons for requesting an enrollment verification include:

  • Student loan agencies and insurance companies wanting to know if a student is enrolled
  • Scholarship committees wanting to know if a student maintained a certain QPA

NOTE: Registration alone does not constitute enrollment. To be considered enrolled, a student must:

  • Be registered for and currently attending classes
  • Have fulfilled their financial obligation to the university for the semester

If a student is registered but not enrolled, they can request a special letter to confirm registration for the upcoming semester.
