The official Carnegie Mellon transcript includes both the undergraduate and graduate record. All transcripts come in individually sealed envelopes, unless otherwise specified. Transcript requests are not processed if the student has an outstanding obligation, financial or otherwise. We cannot accept phone or e-mail requests. We will not fax a transcript under any circumstances.
There are three ways to order an official transcript from Carnegie Mellon:
For the fastest service, Carnegie Mellon has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order transcripts with this service using any major credit card.
To order an official transcript(s), login to the Clearinghouse secure site.
The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.
Your signed consent is required to fulfill your transcript order. For your convenience, a consent form will be generated for your order that you can return to the National Student Clearinghouse via fax, mail or as a scanned email attachment.
Order updates will be emailed to you to notify you when we have received and processed your order. You can also check order status or history online. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.

If you need any attachments sent along with your transcript, please note that in the special instructions box you’ll find during the ordering process. Then, fax or mail the attachment to The HUB and indicate that it should be included with your transcript order.
If you do not have a credit card, or if you want to pick up your transcript from The HUB, you can use the Transcript Request Form to place your order. We must receive a signed request from a student in order to release a transcript. The Transcript Request Form can be mailed or faxed to The HUB.
If you do not have a credit card or access to a printer you may write a letter and mail or fax it to The HUB. In your letter, please include the following information:
Your first and last name (include maiden name, if applicable)
Student identification number
Daytime phone number
E-mail address
Approximate dates of attendance
Number of transcripts requested
Names and complete addresses for all recipients
Type of service requested: walk-in, third business day pickup, third business day mailing or express (see explanations below.)
Student's handwritten signature

If you are not placing your order online, you can pay for your transcript order with Visa, MasterCard, check, cash, money order or PlaidCa$h. We do not accept Discover or American Express. Currently enrolled students may also charge their order to their student account. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Carnegie Mellon. We do not send bills for transcript orders.

U.S. Addresses:$20 per address plus $5 per copy - Transcript will be mailed via UPS Next Day Air within 1 business day after the order is received in Enrollment Services. This UPS service usually will deliver the transcript to the recipient by 10:30 a.m. the next business day..
Canada/Mexico Addresses: $30 per address plus $5 per copy - Transcript will be mailed via UPS Worldwide Saver within 1 business day after the order is received in Enrollment Services. The recipient should receive the transcript within 1-3 business days.
Other International Addresses: $40 per address plus $5 per copy - Transcript will be mailed via UPS Worldwide Saver within 1 business day after the order is received in Enrollment Services. The recipient should receive the transcript within 1-3 business days.
All requests for express service must be received by 3:00 p.m. eastern time to be sent that day.
Please note that we are unable to deliver express transcripts to post office boxes. A street address is required.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNIVERSITY ARCHIVES DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO TRANSCRIPT AND VERIFICATION INFORMATION. THEY MAINTAIN ONLY THE COURSE DESCRIPTION ARCHIVES. IF YOU CALL OR EMAIL THIS OFFICE, YOUR REQUEST WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Enrollment verifications are available only for currently enrolled Carnegie Mellon students and Carnegie Mellon Alumni.
An enrollment verification officially confirms specific information about you.
Below are the most common reasons for requesting a verification:
Student loan agencies and insurance companies wanting to know if a student is enrolled.
Scholarship committees wanting to know if a student maintained a certain QPA.
Potential employers wanting to know if a student graduated with a certain degree.

Verifications are ready in four business days (plus mailing time if applicable).
Verifications are free, but if you have a financial hold, we cannot produce a verification for you.
All non-faxed verifications come in individual, sealed envelopes. If you break the seam, we will not reseal the envelope.
