E-Check

Electronic Check Payment (E-Check) is available to students at Carnegie Mellon. E-Check allows a student to pay his/her current semester and future student account balance via an automatic direct debit to his/her U.S. checking or savings account. We strongly encourage you to register for E-Check as soon as you receive your Andrew User ID, which will be mailed to you as part of your housing information packet. This authorization will be made from a secure student account payment website by going to Student Information On-Line, then clicking on Aid/Account, then Student Account and then E-Check/E-Refund.

There are many advantages to using E-Check:

  1. Easy and convenient payment for current and future semester student account balances

  2. Save money. No check or stamp buying

  3. Save time. No more waiting for a check to clear or waiting in line to pay

  4. Free service offered by the university

  5. Private and secure

  6. Available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week

  7. E-Check enrollment takes one day to set up. Withdrawals take one day; credits to your student account will take 2-3 business days.

You will need to have available the following information in order to complete the E-Check enrollment process:

  1. Account type and number (U.S. savings or checking)

  2. Transit routing number
