Meet The HUB Staff

Lynn Javor, Assistant Director

As the liaison in The HUB for the Dietrich College for Humanities and Social Sciences and the Silicon Valley campus, Lynn Javor is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Doug Marvin, Assistant Director

As the liaison in The HUB for the Tepper School of Business, self-defined majors (including ETC), and the Schools of Architecture, Art, Drama, Design, and Music, as well as undeclared undergraduates, within the College of Fine Arts, Douglas Marvin is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. After coming to Carnegie Mellon from a similar assignment at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Marvin has worked in The HUB since 2004. Mr. Marvin may be reached by email at dmarvin@andrew.cmu.edu.

Christopher Mattis, Assistant Director

As the liaison in The HUB for the Mellon College of Science, School of Computer Science, and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Christopher Mattis is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Known as “the guy with all the bobble-heads,"  Mr. Mattis has been at Carnegie Mellon since 1989 and with The HUB since it began in 1995. He may be reached by email at cm6a@andrew.cmu.edu.

Vivek Shastry, Student Services Specialist

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Vivek Shastry works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In his current role, Mr. Shastry assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone.  He has been a member of Carnegie Mellon University since October 2012 and is currently pursing his Master’s Degree in Business Administration focusing in International Business. Melissa Skasik, Assistant Director

As the liaison in The HUB for the Carnegie Institute of Technology, including BMD, CHE, ECE, EPP, ETIM, INI, MEG, MSE, CIT Self-Designed, and CIT Undeclared Undergraduates, Melissa Skasik is the main point of contact for any enrollment concerns within this population of students. Jenna Tracy, HUB Services Manager

In her role as HUB Services Manager, Jenna Tracy manages the front line services within The HUB by supervising the work of the Student Services Specialists and work study students. She also serves as the liaison for the Heinz College regarding any enrollment services concerns. Ms. Tracy is the graduate student issues point person and serves as the communications lead for The HUB. She is currently in her second year of master’s education at The Heinz College, where she will attain her Master of Public Management with a focus in leadership in higher education in May 2013. Ms. Tracy joined the CMU community in August 2009 as an Assistant Director in The HUB. Prior to CMU, she worked at the University of Pittsburgh, Panther Central for four years. Carey Zehnder, Student Services Specialist

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Carey Zehnder works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In his current role, Mr. Zehnder   assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Lena Zellers, Student Services Specialist

As a Student Services Specialist in The HUB, Lena Zellers works as a member of The HUB’s front line service team. In her current role, Ms. Zellers assists with inquiries from the university community in person, via email and on the phone. Before joining the Carnegie Mellon community in September 2011, she held a similar position at the University of Pittsburgh where she also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
