Because we mail Financial Aid Award and Alert Letters to your permanent address, it is imperative that you update your address information on Student Information On-Line (SIO) as soon as possible when you move or change addresses.
Once your financial aid package has been determined, Enrollment Services will mail a Financial Aid Award Letter to your permanent address. This letter contains important information and instructions regarding your financial aid package. If your financial aid package changes at any point throughout the academic year, you will receive a revised Financial Aid Award Letter.
If we are unable to process your financial aid package due to missing documents, you will receive a Financial Aid Alert Letter at your permanent address. If you receive an alert letter, please remit all required documents to The HUB by the date specified on the letter.
If you do not complete the application process and submit all required documents, we may be unable to complete your financial aid package for the academic year.
Official Carnegie Mellon notifications are sent to valid andrew account users using the @andrew.cmu.edu e-mail address. Example: johndoe@andrew.cmu.edu.
If you choose to use an alternate e-mail address (i.e. @cs.cmu.edu, @ece.cmu.edu, @phi.cmu.edu, etc.), then you should forward your @andrew.cmu.edu e-mail to your preferred/alternate e-mail address to ensure that you receive all official university communications.
