For more information and to apply, visit www.globalslc.com.

Once a student applies online, Carnegie Mellon’s Student Financial Aid Office in Enrollment Services will receive notification from GSLC to confirm the student’s enrollment status. After the loan has been certified by Carnegie Mellon, the student may go to the GSLC website to view his or her certification status.

Once certified, HSBC will begin a credit review process and notify the student of his or her loan status. A minimum of 10-15 business days is needed for process completion.

If approved for the loan, the student can subtract half of the approved amount from his or her Fall invoice and half from his or her Spring invoice. The loan funds will post to the student’s account for that respective semester.

GSLC and HSBC are seeking to expand the program to include students from China, Korea, and other countries of origin selected from more than 80 countries in which HSBC operates around the world. As the GSLC and HSBC expansion progresses, Carnegie Mellon will be sure to keep you updated.
