Federal regulations require that all first-time federal student loan borrowers complete an entrance counseling session prior to the Federal Student Loan funds being credited to their student accounts. During the entrance counseling session, you will be informed of your rights and responsibilities as a borrower. CARNEGIE MELLON WILL NOT PROCESS YOUR FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THE ENTRANCE COUNSELING SESSION. You complete the loan counseling requirements electronically on our Federal Entrance Loan Counseling Website.
