Linda Anderson, Director of Student Financial Aid
As Director of Student Financial Aid at Carnegie Mellon University, Linda Anderson balances the important objectives of meeting compliance requirements while honoring and advocating the importance of meeting student servicing requirements and delivering quality student services.
With 32 years of experience in higher education, Ms. Anderson has worked in the fields of enrollment services, enrollment management, and student financial assistance. She has been with Carnegie Mellon University since 1979 and has been in her current role since 1986. Ms. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She also studied in Spain at the University of Valladolid.
Ms. Anderson has served as Vice President of PASFAA for two years (2010-2012) and as Chair of PASFAA’s Government Relations Committee. She is also a member of EASFAA’s Federal Relations Committee. In these roles, she has made several visits to Congress to advocate for students, and to inform members of Congress about topics of national importance to students and the financial aid community. Ms. Anderson is also a member of NASFAA, EASFAA and PASFAA and often presents on financial aid issues.
