Jessica Otis is a CLIR/DLF Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Curation for Early Modern Studies at Carnegie Mellon University, working on the Six Degrees of Francis Bacon Digital Humanities project. She received both her M.S. in Mathematics and her Ph.D. in History from the University of Virginia.  Her research focuses on the cultural history of mathematics and cryptography in early modern England.
