Major: Creating Writing and Professional Writing double major

"I am honored to be inducted into Phi Kappa Phi.  I strongly believe in life-long education and learning, and I am very excited to become a member of this community of  scholars.  I think it's really important to not only have knowledge of your own major, but to become knowledgeable about as many things as possible.  I think communication between people in a wide range of disciplines is one of the best ways to achieve this."

Major: Professional Writing

"As a student who was home schooled from fourth grade through high school, I was never formally recognized for academic success aside from standardized tests. Now, as a student at Carnegie Mellon University, it is a privilege to be recognized for academic achievement through my induction into Phi Kappa Phi."
