Paul Hopper's Research Featured at International Conference

The research of English Department Professor Paul J. Hopper, Paul Mellon Distinguished Professor Emeritus of the Humanities, was the theme of a day-long panel at the International Pragmatics Association's biennial meeting in Manchester, England, on July 5. The title of the panel was "Temporality in Interaction."

Established in 1986, the International Pragmatics Association (IPrA) is an international scientific organization devoted to the study of language use.
