Alum Ann Blakeslee Honored by Association of Teachers of Technical Writing

Congratulations to Ann M. Blakeslee for her elevation to the rank of Fellow by The Association of Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW). Dr. Blakeslee graduated from CMU with a Ph.D. in Rhetoric in 1992 and is now a professor of Written Communication in the Department of English Language & Literature at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). She also serves as their director of Writing Across the Curriculum and the University Writing Center at EMU.

This honor is awarded to ATTW members who have made significant long‐term contributions to their discipline and organization. The nomination committee recommended Dr. Blakeslee's elevation to Fellow based on her key contributions to technical communication across the United States, at EMU, and within the ATTW organization itself. The ATTW recognized her for her exemplary scholarship, leadership, and overall service to the field at the annual meeting on April 6th in Atlanta, Georgia. Learn more about the ATTW at attw.org.
