CMU Course Credit
Carnegie Mellon University grants Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) credit dependent upon the score received. The university decides on the credit to be given and each college/school at Carnegie Mellon may apply AP and IB credit differently.
Below is information about the credit extended to Dietrich College (H&SS) students.
AP
The AP chart [.pdf] displays the AP exams (in alphabetical order) and what credit would be given for scores of a 4 or 5. H&SS does not grant credit for any scores of a 3 or lower. The third column in the chart gives the Carnegie Mellon University course number that credit would be granted for. The last two columns display the number of units you will receive credit for as well as which General Education category the course would count for.
IB
The
IB chart [.pdf] displays the IB exams (in alphabetical order) and what credit would be given for scores of a 6 or 7. H&SS does not grant credit for any scores of a 5 or lower. A-Levels
