Medical Coverage for International Travelers (all locations)
Carnegie Mellon provides wrap-around International Travel Health Insurance Benefits [pdf] coverage for employees on official Carnegie Mellon business in a foreign country for less than a semester or if the employee's current medical plan is an HMO. It is provided through Aetna Global Benefits WorldTraveler, and is an add-on to the employee's current medical plan at no charge.
An individual traveling internationally for Carnegie Mellon business should complete the International Travel Registration Form to acquire the Aetna coverage before leaving the United States:
