Medical Coverage for International Travelers
Carnegie Mellon provides wrap-around International Travel Health Insurance Benefits (.pdf) coverage for employees on official Carnegie Mellon business in a foreign country for less than a semester or if your current medical plan is an HMO.
It is provided through Aetna Global Benefits WorldTraveler, and is an add-on to your current medical plan at no charge.
An individual traveling internationally for Carnegie Mellon business should complete the International Travel Registration Form (.doc) to acquire the Aetna coverage before leaving the United States.
Aetna Global Benefits WorldTraveler plan provides a variety of services, including:
