The Talent Management System (TMS) was developed to help managers to recruit talent and manage their human resources. A secure, web-based application, TMS is designed to streamline processes, improve communication, increase productivity and reduce your costs.

Positions@CarnegieMellon allows:

  • electronic position submission and posting of vacancies on the Employment Opportunities website
  • centralized storage of position descriptions
  • position and posting tracking throughout the approval process
  • email notifications
  • an enhanced Staff Employment Opportunities web page
  • management reporting
  • position history tracking

Recruiting@CarnegieMellon (Taleo) allows managers to:

  • review applicant credentials online
  • track demographic data about the candidates who apply for their positions (eliminating the Interview Data Sheet form)
  • store of interview results and information (automating the Interview Appraisal Form)
  • generate applicant communications and notifications automatically at all stages within the hiring process
  • complete the hiring workflow online

Careers@CarnegieMellon (Taleo) allows applicants to:

  • search for jobs on multiple criteria
  • save search criteria sets as Job Agent that will notify them of new positions that meet their interests,
  • apply for one or multiple jobs (through a job cart) electronically.
  • create an online personal profile, which includes their resume, cover letter and employment application information
  • receive automatic acknowledgement of their application to a position, and other communications
